September-
In Social Studies we had a group project about a Native American Tribe. Me and my group mates has to do research and draft things and then put the finale piece together. We made a poster board. After that we had to present and explain what we learn about the Native Americans (since we also look at other people presentations). After that we learned about what's a criminal case and what's a civil case and the differences between both these 2 cases. I also learned how to use "Text Coding" or ask you can say a strategies to understand the meaning of the texts.
October-
In Social Studies my class learned about Christopher Columbus and we are now currently learning about the ugliest history in America which is about the Native Americans and the White settlers of how they are treated unfairly. Also we are having cases. It getting an assign topic and we have to read texts or exhibits as it was known it court) and see if it support or claim/case or not.
November-
In Social Studies we are having a mock trial now. Group are taking turn, sharing ideas to convince other that this person (whoever they got) is guilty or not and we get to decide the outcome. They use evidence and explain it ad support it with other evidence to make it convincing as possible. It's like real trail in court. There was objections and it's was really fun!

Our class finish the mock trial and we are getting our grades back. I like my grade, it's good. We also started a new unit. The Industrial Revolution. I know ome stuff about this unit so far.
January-
We learned more about the invention of the Industrial revolution such as cotton gin, the light bulb and others. We also learned about different characters or people that stands out in the Industrial Revolution
February-
We are writing a speech of a person that should be in the Industrial Revolution hall of fame. I choose Eugene V.Debs. We are focusing on putting voice in it and how to make it interesting while proving your point.

I got my grade back for the Eugene v. Debs speech it was 96/100. not bad. We are also starting the final speech which we can choose whoever we want to be put into the revolutionary hall of fame. I choose Eugene V. Debs again. We also stared the unit slavery. Only a tiny bit. Gonna continue after break.
April-
At the end of the month I finish the second speech of Eugene V. Debs and I got a 98/100. This time I changed some stuff on it. Like at more reason, vocabulary. Explaining my reasons more. My grammar sucks though. In May I am writing another speech for Eugene V. Debs, the final one. and the state tests took about half of the times we need to the the project.
May-
the state test is over like 2 weeks ago. How is everyone, I just finish writing my speech got my grade. I got 99.5/100. I was like really! I was only .5 point off from 100. I can't post this speech because it's in my class folder on google doc. on view so I can't post it.
June-
End of the year! Our learn about human trafficking and child labor. Did a debate. It was alright. Many made good arguments. We wrote about in a report/information sheet as a project. My country was Sudan (North). Have a good summer vacation!
