First Marking Period:
I love ELA! I love my ELA teacher. She's very nice and gentle. We mostly read in the beginning of the year and get to know each other. We then wrote a memoir (like something that happen to you- a small moment in life where you learned something from it). I wrote about meeting my one and only best friend. I wrote how we met in the school. I got a pretty good grade for it. The teacher gave us plenty of time to work on it in class and we shared it to people and had a gallery walk so other can read it) It was fun because other people story was really interesting. Can't believe certain even happen happen.
Second Marking Period:
In this marking period we did an editoral. It's like something that in newspaper and that it usually tells other to do certain things/give advice. This was a bit hard because to write an editorial you have to be passionate in the idea and the idea have to worldwide (not really but something big). I did lack of sleep because I, myself was lacking sleep. I found this editorial interesting because the research I did made me learn a lot of stuff and now days I'm trying my best to get at least 9-10 hours of sleep. I also wish for others out there and reading to this to get enough sleep and not overwork yourself. There is bad things waiting for you if you don't get enough sleep.
Third Marking Period:
This marking period we had another teacher who's helping this class and kind of experiencing how to be a teacher since she's planning to become one because she's in college and it's necessary. I really like her because she really nice. She takes her time teaching things. She was teaching us about dystopian world. We read the Wrinkle in Time and talked about this dystopian world/topic. This lead into book club for this marking period. I was assigned to read Fahrenheit 451. I was actually an interesting book. I suggest you to read it (though the ending might not be satisfy - at least for me and my group mate - including my best friend). We had to do a project for it. It took a long time. Months. We made a movie for it. Like voice action the book. Selecting lines. And creating music and mixing music and adding sound affect. We got a really good grade for this project. One to the project that I put a lot of effort into it. She now left back to college and now we're gonna start Shakespeare writing, Romeo and Juliet and learn old English and literature.
Fourth Marking Period:
