This project was about how to operate fractions. For example: add, subtract, multiply, and divide fractions. This is about operating fraction, but mixed with cooking because the recipe of the ingredient to cook had fractions such as mixed fraction and improper fraction. Different amount of ingredients is used depending on the serving size.
I choose to show this project instead of others was because this project was really creative. The students gets to decides what kind of food will their topic an when the project is over, students are allow to bring in those food and eat/share it with the classmates. Also, if you do bring food it's count as extra credits.
From this project I learned how to operate fraction. All 4 operations. Also, I learned that when the serving sizes change, the ingredients of the recipe can decrease or increase, which help with operating fractions.
